Pastoral Staff
A little about Pastor Jon Strasman - he was born and raised in Merrill, Wisconsin, and has been a life-long Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks fan. Jon did his undergrad at UW-Eau Claire in Business Administration, and then worked in Human Resources for Wausau Insurance Companies in Wausau, Wisconsin for six years after college.
He left his job to become a youth and family minister at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Merrill before entering seminary. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa in 2003. After his ordination, he served congregations in Fordville, North Dakota, and Coos Bay, Oregon. He served as an internship supervisor to ten pastoral interns while in Coos Bay. In 2019, he accepted the call to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Neenah.
Pastor Jon is married to Jeranna and they are blessed with four children. He enjoys cooking, watching his children's sporting events and concerts, in addition to golfing, racquetball, mountain biking and fishing.
Pastor Jon wants everyone to know the expansive love of Jesus. His preaching often lifts up Jesus' command to love God, and to love your neighbor as yourself, as found in Matthew 22:36-40. On these two commandments hang all the law and prophets.
Ministry Staff
Patty has been involved in youth ministry for more than 25 years, and enjoys hanging out with kids of all ages. She believes that we all have great value and are precious in the eyes of God. Patty often will use art, photography and music in her ministry. In her "free time" she loves to knit, take pictures, play guitar and take care of her plants and garden. She also loves to travel and has been all over the world.
Office Staff
Joni provides administrative support to our church. She is the first person you see when you enter our office wing at church, and she is the first contact most people have when needing a question answered.
Music Staff
Jim's primary role is Music Director. He plays the organ and piano for the majority of our worship services and leads our music groups. Jim also provides audio/video tech support and office tech support.
LuAnn has been playing the organ and piano at Our Savior's for many years. She usually plays the first weekend of the month.
