Learn & Grow

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has a Christian Education committee that oversees the religious education opportunities for all ages.  They coordinate the activities for Sunday School, Adult Education Forums and Vacation Bible School.

Children at Sunday School

Sunday School

Sunday School is a wonderful way to learn different stories in the Bible. Sunday School meets each Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:15 during the school year and is open to children ages 3 through grade 5.  The curriculum we use is SPARK Lectionary published by Augsburg Fortress.

Confirmation

Confirmation is nothing like it used to be!  Our students in grade 6 – 8 start each week in a large group for an overview of the lesson topic with videos, music clips, and a brief discussion with our pastor.  Students then move into a small group setting to look at traditional aspects of the faith, while providing opportunities to apply the faith to everyday life.  Field trips, servant projects and youth nights are also part of the program.

Adult Small Group

Adults

Adult Education (or Adult Forum) is a smorgasbord of topics for discussion held on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.  This lively group is a good option for parents as they wait for their children in Sunday School.  It’s also great for anyone who wants to grow in their faith, raise questions and get to know other members of the congregation.  Each week is intended to be independent from the others, so come when you can and join right in.
